Well, we here in Southern California are sometimes weather wimps. We have such a nice even temperature all year around, that when the occasional hot spell or cold spell hits us we don't know what to do.
I did some plumbing repairs on our house about four months ago, and it involved shutting down all our gas appliances while I moved a couple of pipes. Since then, I haven't bothered to re-light the pilot in our furnace. Didn't need it - till this morning.
OK - so I should make a spiritual tie-in, right?
I'll let you, kind reader, do that one today. Ask God, "in what part of my life do I tend to enjoy comfort and ease?"
But be careful: the spiritual weather may change on us.
