Submission to Governing Authorities
1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

It would be easy to obey this clear command if we always agreed with everything our government did. But we don't. If you are a liberal, you most likely blame everything on the conservatives, and vice-versa. We are free to complain, and boy is there a lot of complaining going on right now.

I fear for our nation regarding the polarization we see: people who have never had any concern about 'politics' are now standing up and condemning those whose ideologies oppose theirs. We are splitting apart as a nation, and I see it in the marketplace daily. It is on the radio, in the Internet news, everywhere.

Lord - let us focus on one thing which has the power to bring us together as a nation. Yes Lord, I mean YOU.
